Tempra

I went to Tempra restrant with my friend near NHK Kofu branch. It's not big, but tempura is very good. I order Lunch Teishoku(like lunch plate) that is 5 kinds tempra, rice, miso soup, small salad and Japanese pickles. about 1500 yen.....it's reasonable, I think.

We had seats in the counter and could see itamae-san(the Japanese cook) cook tempra just in front of us. prawns, some vegestables and Kakiage(fried with mixed vegestables, shrimp and so on) So delicious. Try it when you come to Yamanashi. Sunday and Monday noon is closed.

Shakado Jomon History museum

There are lots of Jomon vessels here. Jomon means "cord-marked", you can find the cord-marking around vessels. I feel that it's very powerful and decorative product, isn't it?

The Jomon period (縄文時代, Jōmon-jidai?) is the time in Japanese pre-history from about 10,000 BC to 300 BC.
(by Wikipedia)

Shakado Jomon history museum is located on the hill, we enjoy the wonderful sight all over the Kofu Basin. At the entrance, the clerk gave my daughter the beautiful post card that is taken from this museum on April, full of the peach blossoms.
I've heard this museum park is famous for night dating spot.
Lights shine, looks like the jewel box opened.

Alongside Chuo highway, walking about 5 minites from Shakado parking area.

Kofu ~One of old houses~

It's A small house near my office....it was a photo shop, the signboard looks like at lease 30 years ago.
Can you see it? There is a small car in the first floor. What a wonderful driver! Washings were hung out to dry on the second floor's indoor hallway. They have no garden and no windows on both sides.

I 'm surprised the windows are very old!Wooden frames! In my childhood, my school windows were same.

When I walk in front of this house, I think it's very old, does anyone live now? every time. And I found washings, somebody live there.... also found CAR!!! How can it put in???

Minami Kofu Station

Minami Kofu Station was build in 1928, it's simple and seems to try to take a taste of western style at that time.
I love it because it's 78-years-old but the style is NOT old-fashioned. I saw the shooting for TV drama in front of the station for a few years ago. Minami Kofu station area was expected to develop more. The high school with a architecture course in Yamanashi will hold the competion for new developing plan in this area. I 'm very glad to hear it and look for the end.

Saijiki

This is a cafe and name's "Saijiki". The old Japanese warehouse was build in around1743.
It means the warehouse is about 263 years old?
Wow, I'm very glad to see it. At that time their house was huge and street named their family name, I've heard.

Open the door , you can see the wonderful Japanese partition and old furniture.
Next small room, there are lots of seasonal ornaments.
In the second floor you can have a coffee or tea with some sweets. If you make a reservation by phone, you can eat lunch at lunch time. I had lunch twice, it's very good!!!

It takes about 20 minites from Kofu station by walk.
Of course, also take bus 10 minites.
I like walking ;-)
